In all variations of the five-card Video Poker game, the player doesn’t play against anyone and has to try and get the highest hand possible.

THE GAME  

After selecting the desired amount and value of credits, the player is dealt 5 cards.

Having looked at the cards the player may hold his hand, discard and get new cards, or draw a new hand.

Jacks Or Better is played with a normal 52-card deck.

Winning hands for each variation of the game are as follows:

Hand Hand Description
Royal Flush Ace - King - Queen - Jack - 10 of the same suit
Straight Flush Five cards in sequence of the same suit
Four of a Kind Any four cards of the same value
Full House Three of a kind and a pair
Flush Five cards of the same suit
Straight Any five cards in sequence but not of the same suit
Three of a Kind Three cards of the same value and two unmatched cards
Two Pairs Two cards with the same value with another two cards of the same value with any other card
Jacks or Better One pair of Jacks or higher

HOW TO PLAY back to top

First thing, select your credit value using the arrow buttons next to the stake display.
By then clicking on the Bet One button, you may increase your bet up to a maximum of five credits, or to bet five credits at once, click on Bet Max.

When you are ready, click on Deal to deal the cards.

Five Hold buttons will appear below your five cards. To keep your card click either on the corresponding Hold button or on the card. When you are ready, click on Deal to get your new cards.

Above the cards, the payout display shows all possible winning hands and their payouts according to the number of credits you have bet.
